The visit begins in front of the Fencer Fountain, located in the center of the university complex, where the coordinator will welcome visitors and provide the audio guide. The audio guide is available during the visit to the Aula Leopoldina and the Oratorium Marianum, allowing you to learn about the fascinating history of the University of Wroclaw, its Austrian heritage, and its role during the Counter-Reformation.

During the tour you will enter the magnificent Aula Leopoldina in Wroclaw, the grand ceremonial hall dedicated to Emperor Leopold I. You will also visit the elegant Oratorium Marianum and walk up the Imperial Staircase, richly decorated with sculptures, stucco, and impressive ceiling frescoes that reflect the historical splendor of the university.

Throughout the visit you will discover the university’s Prussian and German period, its long academic traditions, and notable figures connected to it, including scientists, Nobel Prize winners, and the famous composer Johannes Brahms, who once performed concerts within these historic walls.

The experience concludes with a visit to the Mathematical Tower, where you can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of Wroclaw. Please note that there is no audio guide in this part of the visit, allowing you to explore the tower freely while admiring the city skyline and learning about Wroclaw’s history, including the destruction during World War II, the postwar border changes, and the rebirth of the institution as the modern Polish University of Wroclaw.
